He is the author of ten books published by various publishers, among his latest, Bach-Prince, parallel lives, released by Einaudi in 2021, then he published Battiato, Café Table Musik (La Nave di Teseo, 2022), a musical biography of Franco Battiato.

Since 2017 he has been Artistic Director of the Concerts of the Scuola Normale di Pisa, since May 2023 he has been Music Consultant of the Bonci Theater in Cesena. Since 2021 he has been Editorial Director

of the non-fiction music series “Correnti,” published by Edizioni Curci. Since 2023 he has been Academic of Santa Cecilia.
